The design leads you through a broad range of techniques which are fundamental to the art of fine whitework.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e   These allow you to understand the depth which can be created using white threads on a white ground fabric by contrasting padded areas with delicate textures and open voids. Techniques include counted satin stitch, trailing, highly sculptured satin stitch, natural shading, beading eyelets and covered beads.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e The motif is taken from the larger design in the book ‘Small Birds May Fly High’ so is an excellent preparatory design to attempt before embarking on this large piece. The completed design is mounted over a pre-cut oval of conservation grade card and is backed with a corresponding oval covered in decorative blue fabric (patterns may vary) before stitching the two ovals together to form a pin wheel.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Your kit includes fabric with pre-printed design, together with all threads and beads required to complete the design, plus the materials required to make up the completed pin wheel (including decorative pins). \u003cem\u003ePlease note that this kit includes \u003cstrong\u003ean order of work with additional diagrams only\u003c\/strong\u003e.
