The design leads you through a broad range of techniques which are fundamental to the art of fine whitework.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e  These allow you to understand the depth which can be created using white threads on a white ground fabric by contrasting padded areas with delicate textures and open voids. Techniques include shadow work on silk organza, darned conservation tulle, padded satin stitch, ladder stitch, eyelets and trailing.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e This serves as an excellent preparatory design to attempt, allowing you to perfect your skills, before embarking on a larger piece of fine whitework. The completed design is mounted over a pre-cut oval of conservation grade card and is backed with wool baize with a scalloped edge, and edged with pearls.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e A further oval is covered with natural linen and baize backing, to which smaller flannel needlebook pages are attached. The ovals are hinged using buttonhole stitch with a button and loop opening.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e Your kit includes fabric with pre-printed design, together with all threads and beads required to complete the design, plus all the materials required to make up the completed needlecase. \u003cem\u003ePlease note that this kit includes \u003cstrong\u003ean order of work with additional diagrams only\u003c\/strong\u003e.
