The book provides a stunning sea-themed alphabet in both 9cm and 14cm height variations, plus ten further decorative designs of scrolls and garlands, and instructions for working the embroidery using traditional stitches. It suggest six possible colour variations and includes a tutorial on how to personalise combinations of letter to create names and words.

88 pages, full colour, soft cover. Text in both Italian and English.

This is the most delightful book! Although there are a few translation issues for those of us English speakers in the instructions, it wasn’t too difficult to figure out. Although experienced in embroidery, at first I was overwhelmed with the projects. Sforza’s detailed instructions made the steps easy to follow. My first sample from her book turned out lovely! Surprisingly, it only took a few days. The color selections are a delight. I highly recommend this book offering one of the few detailed instructionals on beautiful seashell and starfish embroidery. Wonderful.
