Description
This delicious fine tape is made in Italy (as the name suggests) and has the appearance of silk wrapped plate; used in abundance in the 17th century, but without the stiffness. It can be coiled, pleated, twisted, looped, quilled, wrinkled and generally manipulated into a fabulous range of textures. Wrapped in fine rayon around a ribbon core, it is easy to secure by stitching into the tape edges or across its breadth, either using invisible thread or other fine threads. Superb for couture textures, mossy hillocks, formal borders in raised work…anything your imagination will allow.
