Description
This brass surround is designed to frame the Beatrix Potter Hill Top Garden design. It is based on the long-case clock at Hill Top Farm which served as one of the inspirations for the embroidery.
The surround was designed by me, inspired by the original clock face and including roses and strawberries, but with the addition of a sneaky bunny (at the request of my daughter Iona).
The inner ring includes the delightful Beatrix Potter quote:
‘I do not remember a time when I did not try to invent pictures and make for myself a fairyland amongst the wildflowers, the animals, funghi, mosses, woods and streams, all the thousand objects of the countryside.’
These are hand-made and hand-engraved by talented silversmith Adam Mills in his Surrey Studio.
Wooden boxes to display the brass frame and the embroidery are also available.
PLEASE NOTE: They are only available to order and can take several months to produce. Once you have placed your order, we will advise you of delivery time by email.

Jenny,
Please extend my appreciation to Adam Mills for his lovely engraving on this piece. The detailing is very beautiful and masterfully done. He also signed his work and I thank him for that.
Thank your daughter Lona for her idea about adding that sweet bunny. The quote is fitting to the embroidered Beatrix Potter embroidery piece. Adam is also a talented carpender. Adding the box frame brought it all together nicely. It will be proudly displayed.
