Description

These pins are 20mm in length and 0.6mm diameter. They are sold as appliqué pins by their makers, ‘Clover’ of Japan, but they are my favourite pin for mounting and stretching embroidery on to board before lacing and framing. The slightly thicker but shorter pin makes them sturdy and they don’t bend when pushed into heavy mounting board, retaining maximum tension over the work. The short length makes them less easily caught when securing the work with stitching or lacing at the reverse.
