Description

This is the closest thread available to that used in historic Ayrshire and similar forms of fine whitework. These techniques were characterised by use of a matt finish, very lightly twisted cotton thread which blended together when stitched, to form smooth, crisp satin stitch and trailing. This thread, made in France, offers three weights, perfect for working Ayrshire or other fine white embroidery. The finest is 120, medium is 80 and the heaviest is 60 wt.
