Fine Silk Floss – Yellow and Brown Tones

Description

This 100% pure silk floss is designed to match the shades of our silk gimps.  The silk can therefore  be used to couch and apply the gimp invisibly, the floss blending into the silk wrapping around the gimp. It is supplied in 120m reels.

Some of the silk gimps use a blend of 2-3 shades and either silk can be used to couch these effectively.

These silk are also beautiful for very delicate surface stitching, silk shading and laidwork.  You can see an example of traditional silk laidwork in my Hampton Court Sampler design.
