Frame for Stumpwork Slipper Orchid

Description

These picture frames are made specifically to fit my designs by my colleague and professional picture framer, Lyn Hall of ‘Fringe Arts’. They allow you to enjoy mounting and framing your work at home without the expense of using a professional framer.

They include: ‘TruVue’ conservation grade clear glass with 99% UV protection, conservation grade mount board ready to mount your work, conservation grade mount board spacers to lift the glass from the work and fittings/hanging cord.

Available in a choice of two shapes – rectangular or square – and two colours for this design

1. Natural wax finish (on Obeche wood, a warm pale wood which has the appearance of beech)
2. Limed wax finish (on Obeche wood, provides a pale, whitewashed, shabby chic, seaside look):

The images shown provide as accurate an impression as possible of the colour and texture of the wood/s from which these items are made. However, please be aware that each item will be unique in its grain and patterning.

Orchids: these frames are designed to fit the Stumpwork Slipper Orchid design and include a plain ivory back board on to which the stem of the orchid is stitched. The larger rectangular frame allows greater space for the flower and the possibility to include more items you may wish to make such as leaves. You may also like to purchase a print of Jenny’s watercolour painting of orchid leaves, to use as a decorative background in the rectangular frames. This is a high quality print on watercolour paper.

The box frames are also a super way to display other stumpwork designs.
