Description

The thinnest fusible web for bonding fabrics I have managed to find. This delicate web is white but fuses clear and is suitable for use on the lightest fabrics, even organzas, without significant change in the look or weight. I use this, for example, in the Owl and Pussycat design, to compile the cut layers of organza which form the delicate sea background.

It does not have a backing sheet so must be used ideally with a Teflon® ‘Goddess Sheet’ or can be used effectively with baking parchment. In accelerated ageing studies, exposure to UV rays have been shown to cause many fusibles to tan (darken), especially on light colours, sheers or light weight fabrics. Mistyfuse Ultraviolet is specially formulated with an effective retardant to protect against the tanning effect of UV rays — without sacrificing any of the inherent qualities of the web.
