Description

The Hampton Court Sampler design requires the use of 3 shades of blue pencil crayons for shading the pond area, before metallic organza is laid over the top.

This pack offers a mini version of the 3 shades of Caran D’Ache ‘Pablo Series’, permanent colour pencils recommended for use in this design, saving you having to order and purchase the full pencils separately.

Paint and drawing was used in the 17th c. and later, to add background detail to raised embroidery designs. Use in the pond beneath the organza helps to create a greater sense of depth to the water.
