Description
Made by the fabulous ‘Tulip’ needle company in the old needle-making district of Hiroshima, these beautiful fine awls are an indispensable tool for fine embroidery. They have a super fine, but extremely rigid, tip tapering to a maximum of 2mm. I find them superb for making an opening through fabric and padding (even heavy padding) before plunging metal threads, helping them to slide through with ease. They are excellent for working tiny eyelets and for opening up and ‘evening’ out fine pulled work and ladder stitch in whitework. Also excellent for any intricate picking and prodding!
The protective cap prevents damage in your workbox. The cushion grip makes them easy to hold and control.
